Scott Rainey
Summary
Music can only be described as a life long passion for Scott Rainey. As a young boy he devoted himself to the drums and never looked back. Scott’s love of music has paid off in a variety of ways including the ability to connect with other people by sharing his talents and experiences. From rocking sold out arenas to leading worship for thousands of fellow Christians or working directly with students, Scott enjoys sharing what he has learned over a lifetime of extensive study. - Certified with Hudson Music as Drum Instructor
- Certified with Professional Drum Teachers Guild
- Member of Texas Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps
- Drummer, Gateway Church
- Endorsed as a Vic Firth Certified Educator
- Began Rainey Music to specialize in private drum and percussion lessons
- Taught private drum lessons at the Kingman Academy School of Learning in Kingman, Az
- Performed with international recording artists Kent Henry, Marco Barrientos, and Alvin Slaughter
- Recorded in the studio with independent artists including In His Presence, Kingman First Assembly, and Bev McCann
- Completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music at the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
- Served as Music Minister in churches in Frederick, MD, Arlington, TX and Garland, TX
- Drummer at Victory Baptist Church in Garland, TX
- Played the drums and co-founded the rock band Disciple
- Participated in a Nationwide tour as the drummer for Disciple with the rock band Pantera
- Contributed to three professional studio recordings
- Dallas Reparatory Theater Orchestra (Percussion)
- Received the National Association of Jazz Educators Award for outstanding drum performance
